Free Resources – YJT & Family Resilience
CAREgiving Checklist for Families
Parents seldom have time to slow down and really reflect on the consistency of their lives, the attunement of their relationships and the environment they are creating for children. Filling out a Devereux CAREgiving Checklist helps to slow things down and may open parents’ eyes to important strengths and areas of need in their home caregiving practices. Focusing on caregiving practices is the foundation for building children’s protective factors. This tool is included in the YJT Coach Guide, and we offer it as a free download as well!
Devereux Adult Resilience Survey (DARS)
The YJT curriculum also focuses on parents’ resilience. For that, parents can also utilize the Devereux Adult Resilience Survey (DARS). The DARS is a 23-item reflective checklist that provides adults with information about their personal strengths. Each item on the DARS relates to thoughts and behaviors that have been shown to support resilience.
More Free Resources for Parents & Families
Our team is committed to promoting partnerships between the most important adults in a child’s life – parents, family members, as well as early care and education professionals, such as child care providers, teachers and home visitors. This is why in addition to the YJT resource, we offer many free resources for parents and families.
